Dayboys are, in fact, "outboarders" as all boys board at Brymore for at least part of the time. This is paid for on a weekly basis.
The School farm and gardens are basic to all courses and dayboys are at a disadvantage if they do not get to know them well at firsthand. During the holidays they have the opportunity to volunteer to work on the farm and gardens on a paid basis. All dayboys spend the week in school as boarders during their farm duty week. For this there is a small charge.
Due to the range of activities that take place outside "normal school" hours, day places are only offered to those within a 10 mile radius of the school. Involvement is key to success at Brymore, so staying for activities is part and parcel of life at Brymore. |
