Workshop Complex

The workshop complex was substantially developed and extended in 1988. Set in the middle of the school, it comprises superbly equipped workshops, design and theory rooms in which a vast range of skills can be learnt and work done.

ImageThere are separate workshops dedicated to wood, sheet metal and general metal work. Control technology and computer-aided design, in the new CAD suite, are the latest facilities to be available to pupils, while unique features are the foundry and blacksmithing forges which add exciting possibilities to practical work.

The workshops and the work done in them are far in excess of what would normally be expected in a secondary school. As in other areas of work at Brymore, there is the opportunity to develop adult skills and to match up to the demands of the world of work outside school.  The workshops also contribute to the construction, maintenance and repair of equipment, buildings, furniture and machinery used elsewhere in school.
